Gilgal Children Home in Kalwar is run by Mr. Trevor De Linares who was brought up in an orphanage in Western India. He belonged to a good middle-class family but his parents split and with three younger siblings he ended up at the orphanage. He was fortunate to get the needed care, education and love from that place. He moved to Jaipur with a burden and vision in his heart for kids who face similar situation and by God's grace and help of World Help, He opened Gilgal Children Home in the year 2004 with initially 12 kids, in a rented facility with 3 rooms in Jhotwara, Jaipur. Presently they have their own facility in over 4 acres of land and building in Kalwar with 61 boys from the age group of 6 to 18 yrs. They take kids from slums, broken families, leper colonies and tribal belt in and around Rajasthan. The Children Home is registered with the Social Justice and Empowerment Department of Rajasthan Govt. Many of the senior kids are studying in the senior secondary classes. They have also started a primary school for these children within their premises. They strive to give them all the love and care they deserve, we hope they will become great and responsible citizens.
